Workshop

on

Project Cycle Management and

the LogFRAME Approach

August 21 - 26, 2000—Delhi, India

The World Food Programme is currently formulating its next country programme (2003-2008). During this preparatory phase, it was considered important to build the skills of all stake holders of WFP assisted programmes in (i) performance-based programme and project design, implementation monitoring and evaluation, (ii) ability to use the Logical Framework Approach to develop or improve a program or project design, (iii) improve the causal logic and clarity of your project and activity designs and their linkages with program goals and strategic objectives and (iv) monitoring implementation and evaluating impact.

Thirty participants from the World Food Programme Headquarters, India Country Office, collaborating organizations, including government, UNICEF, CARE and key NGO partners, joined a 5-day intensive skill building workshop to generate a critical set of agreements about WFP program and project strategy and to produce a set of core documents that operationalize them. At the outset, the team established a challenging set of objectives and delivered on them by the end of the week.
